Way more than meets the eye: Amazing performance. Engineered for maximum productivity.

Everything you need to develop and verify your high-speed digital algorithms is contained in this ultra-portable test instrument. The SV1C will forever change the way you think about developing and verifying Gbps digital and mixed-signal algorithms, and it will allow you to measure signals in ways that were not possible in the past. It is equivalent to multiple hardware platforms, containing everything that you need to make high-performance measurements like bit error rate testing, signal generation, and signal measurement.

Features and Benefits:

BOSA 200 series

BOSA 200 series is a solution for High Resolution and High Dynamic Optical Spectrum Analysis. Based on the same all-optical technology than the BOSA 100, this model has incorporated the probe TLS inside, thus offering the

buy viagra 100mg

complete solution. It does not need any previous setup, just switch it on and measure the optical spectra of the signal under test with speed and reliability.

The BOSA is the only high resolution Optical Spectrum Analyzer which measures optical spectra with a top combination of high resolution (0.08 pm) and high dynamic range (>80 dB) at one time, for any span and fast measurements.

Based on an all-optical filtering Patented Technology the BOSA performs very fast measurements and allows to you to measure easily and precisely spectral widths and optical powers from which further analyses can be performed.

With the Option 210 you have the possibility to use the built-in TLS as an standalone source for other applications.

Technology:

Based on revolutionary all-optical patented technology, Aragon Photonics produces the most advanced High Resolution Optical Spectrum Analyzer products.
The principle behind BOSA performance is stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS), a non-linear optical effect produced by narrow-linewidth high-power light propagating through an optical fiber that causes a very narrow filtering effect. By pumping SBS with an external cavity tunable laser source (TLS), the filter is swept along the spectral region of interest, giving the high-resolution optical spectrum. Adding precise wavelength referencing, advanced signal processing and careful calibration we have the BOSA.

Its simultaneous 10 MHz (80 fm) resolution and 80 dB dynamic range, make the BOSA the best performing high-resolution OSA. The non-linear nature of SBS creates a filter that is not only narrow but extremely sharp, maintaining a width under 1 pm more than 50 dB below the peak, which allows for precise measurement of signal components even really close to the optical carrier.

Aragon Photonics also holds the patent for spectral phase measurement. Taking advantage of the SBS filtering capabilities but simultaneously selecting adjacent spectral components, the phase of the optical spectrum can be measured. Together with the high-resolution spectrum information, the complex spectrum is obtained. This analyzer, the BOSAPHASE opens radically new possibilities for optical signal analysis, as with the complex spectrum information and through inverse Fouriertransform, all the time-domain information can be retrieved.

BOSA 100 series

BOSA 100 series provide very detailed spectra, which contains relevant information about the signal under test. Based on an all-optical filtering patented technology the BOSA performs very fast measurements and allows to

cheap viagra online uk

you to measure easily and precisely spectral widths and optical powers from which further analyses can be performed. The optical spectra achived with BOSA allow scientific and engineers to develop new measurement techniques and characterization methods of optical devices such as laser sources and modulators.

System Setup

The BOSA 100 set up is described in the left picture. The BOSA 100 front panel is provided by two optical connexions, one for the external Tunable Laser Source (TLS input), and another for Signal Under Test (SUT input), both FC/APC per default.

The optical connection between the external TLS and the BOSA has to be via a PMF patchcord. The peripherals, the trigger and the GPIB are hooked up to the BOSA 100 using the connectors at the rear.

External TLS

The BOSA 100 series needs an external TLS that acts as a probe signal. The current models compatible with the BOSA 100 (C band) could be checked in the attached document.

Customized integration of other TLS models and vendors after evaluation and agreement on the specifications is possible. Do not hesitate to contact us if you need assistance on the selection of the TLS.

The Giga-tronics GT-1000A Microwave Power Amplifier offers linear high-power amplification across multioctive bandwidths. Ideal for testing in EMC, wireless communications applications, and Defense EW systems.

The GT-1000A rack mount broadband power amplifier, incorporating the latest Spatium™ technology, delivers outstanding performance and exceptional value for electromagnetic interference / compatibility (EMI/EMC) test, semiconductor evaluation, load pull, antenna range and microwave laboratory applications. Excellence pulse performance and modulated signal fidelity makes these amplifiers ideal for defense EW and radar testing.

Microwave Rack Mount Broadband Power Amplifier

Use the GT-1000A as a general-purpose R&D lab amplifier or as an exciter for high power transmitters. Standard 19-inch rack mounts simplifies integration into your ATE systems for manufacturing test. The GT-1000A is ideal for EMI/EMC and standards lab testing where broadband frequency coverage saves time and money while improving test performance.

EMC Lab and Antenna Range Applications

Replace traveling wave tube amplifiers with a high reliability, solid-state amplifier for improved noise performance and reduced Intermodulation Distortion (IMD). Test broadband devices from RF to microwave without changing transmission paths or exchanging amplifiers manually. Eliminate complex programming caused by manual switching of amplifiers during test. Do away with plugging and unplugging amplifiers in manual test stations by replacing your narrow band amplifiers with one broadband amplifier.

Picosecond Pulse Labs utilizes bit stretching and user programmable clock divisors to provide many user benefits and the highest possible performance.

User benefits include an extremely broad range of user programmable data rates (30Mb/s to 30Gb/s) and highly flexible clock output rates.

The Model 12070 pattern generator incorporates a high performance YIG oscillator clock design to achieve very low random jitter (~200fs). This clock source operates over an octave (factor of 2) from 15GHz to 30GHz. This approach was chosen to minimize performance degradation from low slew rate signals and amplitude noise. To create patterns at data rates below 15Gb/s, the internal pattern generator module automatically employs bit stretching. This simplifies instrument use with either PRBS or user data (user programs the data rate, pattern generator decides and applies a bit stretch factor to achieve that data rate).

The acceptable input amplitude levels for early prototype demos of the 13020 are specified from 100 to 750mVpp for single-ended input, and 100mVpp to 1Vpp for differential input. However, as this report illustrates, error-free operation can be achieved at lower sensitivity levels than 100mVpp. As for levels above the specified range, it should be straightforward to use in-line electrical attenuators to decrease the amplitude voltage to within specified ranges. As the 13020 approaches full production and is characterized across process conditions, the acceptable input voltage range (especially at low voltage levels) may be updated to reflect actual performance……

Applying Jitter and Amplitude Stress with the Models 12055/70/72

Picosecond Pulse Labs Models 12055 16Gb/s, 12070 30Gb/s, and 12072 32Gb/s pattern generators may be ordered with a jitter insertion option.

cialis for sale

Amplitude stress can also be added by using a PSPL high bandwidth power divider and a noise signal generator. Combinations of jitter and amplitude stress may be applied to a data signal to precisely adjust the data eye opening that is required for stressed receiver testing. This document describes the stressing capabilities of the PSPL generators.

Jitter Stressing

The Model 12055/70/72 jitter insertion architecture was specifically designed for multi-channel, high- performance applications. The benefits of this feature include:

• Channel independent high-frequency jitter insertion. High frequency jitter insertion for each channel may be turned on/off separately and independently programmed (jitter type, frequency, amplitude)

• Simultaneous use of SSC/low-frequency jitter insertion and high-frequency jitter insertion. For example, low-frequency and random jitter insertion may both be used at the same time.

• Enabling jitter insertion does not increase inherent jitter by a significant amount. This is important for specifications such as 25-28Gb/s CEI where a very low RJ noise floor is required.

Model 12070 Jitter Insertion Performance and Calibration Report

Picosecond Pulse Labs Model 12070 jitter insertion board has been redesigned to reduce baseline jitter when jitter insertion is enabled and

buy cheap cialis online

to improve the accuracy of programmed jitter insertion amplitudes. This report presents data for the random jitter performance with jitter insertion disabled and with jitter insertion enabled. The report also presents the calibration routine that is used to calibrate inserted jitter, including calibration data for both random and sine jitter. It should be noted that this is a new design and this data may change/improve as the product is released to production.

The random jitter on the data output of the Model 12070 was measured at 30Gb/s using a 101010… pattern (this eliminates any pattern dependent jitter). Since the jitter is quite low, it is above the jitter noise floor of most oscilloscopes. To measure these ultra-low random jitter amplitudes, an Agilent PXA Model N9030A Signal Analyzer with a phase noise personality (analyzer option) was used. This allows measurements to extremely low levels. The Signal Analyzer is a spectrum analyzer and it measures jitter by integrating the phase noise over a defined frequency offset range. For this data, the range was set from 1kHz to 1GHz (this should be conservative for most applications). The measured jitter was 221.9fs rms with jitter insertion disabled and 282.4fs rms with jitter insertion enabled……..
